The Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation (OCCAR) has released its Business Plan for 2025, showcasing some of its expectations for 2025 across several programmes, such as the Boxer.

In 2024 the Boxer program achieved two major milestones, more than 700 vehicles have now been delivered, and the new production lines in Britain rolled out the first British drive and mission modules.

As for 2025, OCCAR expects Britain to sign a contract for a 2nd batch of Boxer vehicles, one that will include three additional Boxer variants for the British Army:
Bridge Layer

Repair & Recovery

Armoured Mortar

Further prospects for 2025 include contracting the development and production of 150 IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicles) for Germany, as well as smaller orders for other vehicles and upgrades. The Netherlands is also expected to be a part of the IFV contract and cooperation with Germany will also include the contract of a new EW (Electronic Warfare) variant, known as Knifefish. Last year Hartpunkt had reported that the Netherlands were looking to procure 72x RCT30 Boxer IFVs and 10x Boxer EW vehicles (1).

Lastly, OCCAR also expected a 2nd batch contract from the Netherlands for an upgraded APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier) with a new weapons system and enhanced C4I.
